AFFORDABLE FASHION TRENDS FOR AUTUMN/WINTER 2018
In my last fashion related post I talked about the trends I noticed for spring/summer, now, as the
weather slowly changes, so have the must-have clothing pieces. Lately, I have been seeing the following styles on the runways of fashion week but also at the store fronts of our favorite everyday shops. Keep reading if you wanna know more about what I think is trending for this upcoming chilly season!
1. LEOPARD PRINT
Somehow leopard print has made its way back into our closets and it is in full force. We also see other examples of animal prints but I think the spotted design is taking the lead in the race. All the higher end brands from Calvin Klein to Victoria Beckham have been using this print in their designs for this year and of course our more affordable brands like Zara must give us cheaper alternatives. You can literally find leopard everything, from coats, skirts, shirts, boots, bags...It's everywhere!

2. PLAID IS STILL THE FAD
Do you remember last year when everyone had that one grey plaid blazer/coat? If you thought that this trend was so last year, guess again! It is here and with friends. The plaid trend has gone from the outerwear to now include skirts, pants, tops and even boots! Not only has the print expanded to different pieces of clothing but it has pushed the boundaries by including different colors and pattern sizes, we are so here for it!

3. 50 SHADES OF .....BROWN?!?
You know the famous 50 shades of grey but this year we are staying true to our inner autumn queen and incorporating lots of brown in our wardrobes. We have many tones of brown spread across different types and textures of clothing. The combination of the various shades and materials really gives off such a sophisticated look and puts us in that typical cozy fall mood.

4. FLARE IF YOU DARE
Remember how we swore we would never turn our backs on our skinny jeans? Yeah..me too... Throughout the years we have seen the flared style slowly try to make it's way back into our fashion lives but I think now its when it's really going to shine. Lots of stores are providing flared jeans in various colors and cuts and the look it gives off is nothing short of classy and put together. So don't be afraid to give the skinny jeans a break and let the flare take over for a while.
You can get this pair and a variety of options from Zara here
or a more relaxed style from Pull&Bear here
5. SNEAKER FEVER
What's better than a trend that's comfortable? Every year there is a style of sneaker that tends to dominate the athleisure style and this year is no different. There are 2 particular styles that without a doubt stand out from their competitors and these are the Balenciaga Triple S sneaker and the Balenciaga Speed Knit sneaker. I know what you're thinking, do I have to spend hundreds of dollars to be trendy? No way! Luckily, lots of our favorite stores are providing us with budget friendly alternatives. Stores like Bershka and Zara have their versions of these shoes that keep us stylish without breaking the bank!
